Critter Demos

In addition to the Critter Demonstrations that are available on all of our Sedona jeep tours, Critter Demos are now available at your club, classroom, or event as well. Our highly trained guides will bring critters to your location. You can hold a snake or a tarantula, see aligator lizards and scorpions, and gain an appreciation for these critters usually known as creepy-crawlies.

We explain the habits of these creatures, and the important role they play in our environment. We will demonstrate proper handling so that you can experience some of Sedona's wildlife firsthand.

Critter Demonstrations range from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on the needs of your group. Our most popular package is the one-hour demo for $150.

This package includes ecological presentation, a demonstration with each critter, and the opportunity for guests to handle them. This is a unique opportunity to gain an appreciation for the important role played by each living thing on the earth.

Arizona Safari Jeep Tours is the only jeep tour company in Sedona that specializes in ecology awareness. On all of our Jeep tours, we educate our guests about the lifezones of Sedona and different flora and fauna of those lifezones, and how they each contribute to the balanced health of their particular ecosystem.

Our premier Jeep tour is the Wildlife Safari, which is a 3.5-hour adventure into the rugged backcountry to observe animals in their natural habitat ( see Wildlife Safari page). Although there is always the chance that we won't see any animals on tour, we have had very good luck this year. Some of the critters that inhabit the Sedona area are: elk, mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn antelope, black bear, bobcat, mountain lion, coyote, rattlesnake, gopher snake, king snake, javelina, ring-tailed cat, fox, raccoon, otter, eagle, hawk, owl, peregrin falcon, scorpion, and tarantula.
