What times do the tours go?
- 7 days a week
- Year-round
- Every half hour throughout the day, pending availability
- Sunrise through sunset
- Wildlife Safari departures: one-hour prior to sunrise
What charges or discounts do you have?
- Tour fees are as listed (see Tours),
plus 9.525% sales tax.
- Children 12 and under are 25% off the adult fare.
- There is a 50% cancellation fee for tours cancelled with
less than 24-hour notice.
Where do I go to get on the Jeep?
- Arizona Safari Jeep Tours is the only tour company who will
pick you up at any Sedona hotel for any tour, pending availability.
- If you plan to be in town for lunch or shopping, it is convenient
to come to our Uptown office at 335 Jordan Road.
Are there any age limits?
- We do not recommend Jeep tours for children under 1 year
of age.
- Child seats are required for children under 5 years of age.
- We have toured with guests up to 92 years old.
Are there any physical limitations?
- Generally, guests must only be able to sit upright with a
seatbelt on, while traversing bumpy terrain.
- Step stools and assistance are available by request.
- Rugged 4x4 tours are not recommended for persons with neck
or back problems or pregnant women.
What will the weather be like?
- Sedona weather can vary by 25 degrees F in a single day.
300 days of sunshine per year average.
- In winter, expect highs of 55 degrees F, and lows of 30 degrees
F.
- In summer, expect highs of 95 degrees F, and lows of 65 degrees
F.

What happens if it rains?
- It has to rain for a considerable time before the trails
are closed.
- In most cases, Sedona rain storms are short-lived.
- We carry rain ponchos on our Jeeps in the event of rain.
- If Safari must cancel a tour due to rain, you will not be
charged.
What should I wear?
- Wear comfortable outdoor clothing appropriate for the season.
Layers are advisable.
- Prepare for at least a 15 degree F temperature variation
for any outdoor excursion.
- Hiking boots are recommended, but sneakers are acceptable.
- NO high heels.
- SPF 15 to 30 sunscreen is advisable.

- The trails can be very dusty, so we recommend wearing glasses
instead of contacts.
What should I bring?
- Bottled water is provided. Non-alcoholic beverages in sealable
plastic containers are welcome.
- Camera with extra film.
- Lip balm.
What should I NOT bring?
- Heavy perfume
- Glass containers
- Anything valuable that you cannot easily carry on your person.
- Pets, unless arrangements are made for a private tour, and
the pet can be secured.
How should I prepare for the tour?
- Drink plenty of water. At our higher altitude and drier climate,
dehydration happens quickly.
- Visit the restroom immediately prior to the tour, as there
are no facilities available on most of our Jeep tours.
- Carry any necessary medications that you may require within
a half-day's time.
Can I pick up a red rock to take home with
me?
- No, please. We take only pictures and leave only footprints.
- Leave the land as untouched as possible for future generations
to enjoy.
- The US Forest Service requires a permit to remove ANYTHING
from public land.
Is it customary to tip the guide?
- Yes, tips are accepted.
- 15-20% is customary, but please tip what you feel is appropriate.
