Senior Tour Guide - aitch - Hal - Hank - Hayu - Hugger - or jus' plain ol' Harold... First job in 1949 at Cimarron Ranch, the original eastern dude ranch, in Putnam Valley, NY. Was handyman/jack of all trades, then second cook, ended up as dude wrangler and entertainer. Many years later, after world travels in the marine industry, bought business in Sedona. Trained to do Jeep tours, but it conflicted with business interests. Still later after retiring, found opportunity to unretire and return to favorite occupation, sharing Sedona and Arizona history and minutiae with guests on tours. Never embraced the common tour guide philosophy of not letting the truth get in the way of a good story. Has chastised other guides upon overhearing tall tales. Avers to be Sedona's oldest tour guide, which can't be proven, as he won't divulge his exact age. Over 50 years of wrangling dudes! Plans to guide til at least 118 years of age, but who will know? Fond of saying "Man plans - but - God laughs" ... .....
