HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN SEPTEMBER IN SEDONA

Before we know it, it will be time to welcome September and see what Fall has in store in Sedona/Cottonwood. You will not be disappointed.

Start off September with the Jerome Art Walk on September 5 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
This celebration of art includes twenty-five galleries and studios. Lose yourself in the art, music and refreshments. This is a free event has quickly become a Verde Valley favorite. Don’t worry about transportation because there is a shuttle that will transport you from the artist filled Old Jerome High School, up to the center of town with The Lincoln Gallery, Made in Jerome Pottery and The Adorn Collection across from The Legendary Haunted Hamburger.

September will just be getting started when the 12th brings Mexican Independence Day or “Fiesta del Tlaquepaque.” From 10:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village, 336 State Route 179 in Sedona the mariachi bands will be playing in full force, the heart-pounding rhythms and beats of Flamenco dancers will fill the streets and if you get hungry don’t worry – the mouth-watering tastes of Mexico will fill the day. Come see the plazas, patios, and streets of Tlaquepaque dressed in a festive wash of color, music, and dancing in the spirit of old Mexico.

Do you like motorcycles? Then the Thunder Valley Rally is the event for you! From September 18 – September 20 head to Cottonwood for the 15th annual Thunder Valley Rally and take part in breathtaking rides all through the Verde Valley. You can to scale the 7,815 ft. peak of Mingus Mountain and descend down 89A with more than 100 curves. For three days you can enjoy bikes, a poker run, bike show, free live entertainment and just plain fun!

Close out September by attending The 7th Annual Sedona Winefest at the Posse Grounds Park in the heart of West Sedona. This event starts September 26 at 11:00 am and goes until September 27 at 5:00 pm. Looking to try some of the delicious Sedona cuisine, enjoy some of the fine Arizona while taking in some live music and shopping at the many vendors? Then this is the perfect event for you! Of course the entire time you can take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic red rocks.

Of course no trip to the Verde Valley is complete without a visit to Safari Jeep Tours for a high adventure tour through the canyons and red rocks.
