FIRST FRIDAY GALLERY TOURS
Like many cities and towns in the country, Sedona offers a First Friday where art lovers can see local art exhibitions and enjoy the community. However, like most things Sedona has to offer, their First Friday events are a step above the rest.
On the first Friday of each month, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, something incredible happens in Sedona. The Sedona Gallery Association hosts their monthly showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits, and art events. Explore Sedona’s art scene while you enjoy refreshments and receptions at each stop on the Sedona Gallery Tour. Hop on the Sedona Trolley and let them do the driving so you don’t have to. They will shuttle you to all the stops on the art gallery loop so you won’t miss a thing.
Each month there are different works of art to see and appreciate. It is a plethora of eclectic art which means you will be amazed at the variety and the innovation of the artists. Past exhibits have included:
- Oils on canvas
- Hand painted chandeliers, scones, lamps and lanterns.
- Landscapes
- Photography
- Woodworking made into art
- Navajo rugs
- Acrylics
- Sculpture
- Turquoise
- Copper
- Glass casting
- Contemporary steel, plexiglass and stone
There are poetry readings, lectures, live music and a chance to mingle. You will have an opportunity to meet other art lovers and the artists who are showing their work. Keep in mind this is a great date night! Something to stimulate the brain, the palate and spark conversation between two people who are looking to get to know each other better or who know each other very well but enjoy getting away from it all and having special time together.
