SEDONA WINEFEST

Hey all you wine lovers who also love our Safari Jeep Tours! Maybe with all the high adventure you will experience on our jeep tour you will need a glass of wine or two to relax after we get back to base. If that is the case then we recommend you head on over to the 7th Annual Sedona Winefest September 26th and 27th after you take one of our tours!

To get a clear picture of that the Sedona Winefest is you need to imagine a generous mix of Arizona wineries, toss in some tasty Sedona cuisine, hip music, a multitude of vendors , mini seminars on all things wine, blend in exciting raffle prizes, Art Exhibits, and breathtaking views. Now put that all together and you will get a small glimpse of the Sedona Winefest 2015, which has become a fall tradition in Sedona.

As we said this year will be the 7th Annual Sedona Winefest and it will take place on Saturday and Sunday September 26 & 27. It will be held at the Posse Grounds Park in the heart of West Sedona. This year the Winefest has expanded and will be bigger and better than ever. Reflecting the fact that as the wine industry has blossomed in Arizona, the attendance at Sedona Winefest has blossomed as well. People now come from all over the country. Attendance jumped from 700 in 2009 to 3000 in 2014 and it will so exciting to see what 2015 brings! We will again have the honor of Verde Valley and Southern Arizona wineries offering their specialty wines for your tasting pleasure. Remember, you will have the opportunity to purchase your favorite Arizona wine by the glass, bottle or case, so you can take home your favorites!

For those of you who want to learn more about wine, there will be an Education Tent offering short seminars throughout the day given by highly respected experts from the wine industry. This added attraction is designed to enrich your experience at Sedona Winefest, and our experts will be sharing their expertise on everything from how to truly appreciate wine to the elements of winemaking and the importance of vineyard climate and location. If you have always wanted to learn about wine, this is the place to start!

After raising your Wine IQ, treat your palate to delectable food from local Chefs while sampling the many Arizona wines from the Verde Valley and Southern Arizona. Enjoy the beautiful vistas while you sip wine and savor the tantalizing food and listen to some fantastic local music in our shaded courtyard seating areas. A wide variety of vendors will offer goods and services. Talented local musicians will play from 11:30 to 4:30 on Saturday and noon to 4:00 Sunday. There will also be several chances to win some great raffle prizes at our hourly drawings. Raffle tickets and extra tasting tickets will be available in the tent.

General Admission for Saturday is $30.00 at the door however they are offering a $25.00 online early bird price. For Sunday the price is the early bird $20 online or $25 at the door. Tickets will be available online. Saturday’s are always the busiest and if too many ticket holders are present, tickets for sale at the door can be temporarily stopped. Moral of this story: don’t wait too long to buy your tickets if you want to get the best deal

What do you get for that price? I am glad you asked. Admission includes EIGHT tasting tickets and an etched commemorative wine glass. Additional wine tasting tickets are available online or at the event. Buy 12 more tasting tickets for $10, 24 tickets for $20 or 6 tickets for $5. That is a bargain and if you use your commemorative wine glass you can help the event go green.

Whether you are a long time wine enthusiast or a first timer, you will want to come out and just be around the incredible energy. Great food, great wine, great entertainment and great people!
